Our Philosophy 

After past wars and difficulties, Uganda and Ugandans are on the way of peace and sustainable develop. The majority of the population is still trying to find an equilibrium between their needs and the conservation of natural environment and wildlife. That’s the reason why we promote local travel agency and volunteering projects. Local communities deserve to receive part of what tourism brings to Uganda. We think this is the only way to both preserve nature and build a brilliant future to our Nation.

  1. Day 1 Long drive to Fort Portal

    Our guide will meet you at the airport at your arrival on (date and flight to be confirmed). The tour starts Long drive to Fort Portal. This region is well known for craters lakes, tea plantations and for Kibale National Park. You will stay inside the park Dinner at the lodge where visitors will also spend the night: double safari tent with private bathroom; dinner at the lodge included (packed lunch).

  2. Day 2 Kibale National Park

    Early wake up, short drive to Kibale National Park home of about 2,000 chimpanzees. Visitors will track primates inside the forest. The trekking will take from 3 to 5 hours on a prevalently flat terrain. The level of difficulty is low but visitors should wear good boots and have with them a rain jacket. After a lunch (included in the offer), crater lakes tour. Then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. First evening game drive into the park. Visitors will stay inside the park: big double safari tent with private bathroom; dinner at the lodge included (packed lunch).

  3. Day 3 Kazinga Channel boat trip

    Early wake up (5.30 AM) for a morning game drive. You will explore all different sectors of the park. After a packed lunch you will prepare for a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, a great chance to spot wildlife from a very short distance. Vist the Katwe Salt mine. Evening Game Drive to admire the sunset while returning to the lodge for dinner.

  4. Day 4 Tree climbing lions Game drive

    Very early wake-up, for an early morning game drive. Then drive south to Ishasha sector. You will try to spot the rare and shy ‘tree climbing lions’. It’s not easy to spot the lions when hiding on trees but our guides know the best places to find them. Please, note that the road could be in very bad conditions, especially in case of heavy rains. Then drive south to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. The panorama will change approaching the mountains and forests of Bwindi. You will sleep at the Gorilla Valley Lodge with a view on the forest: double room with private bathroom. Dinner at the lodge.

  5. Day 5 Gorilla Trekking

    Early wake-up (6.30 AM), after breakfast, drive to Bwindi NP and be ready for the Gorillas track! The trekking will start at 8.00, rangers will brief visitors about the gorilla family you are going to track. Trekking can take from 3 to 6 hours. Travelers need to wear good boots and bring a rain jacket.  As part of our travel philosophy, we encourage visitors to spend some nights in a real local house to meet the local culture. During the homestay program, all meals are included which is a great opportunity to experience some amazing Ugandan typical dishes. Accommodations are simple, but comfortable and clean: double/triple bedroom with electricity and shared bathroom.

  6. Day 6 Back to Entebbe

    Early wake up have breakfast and drive to Entebbe for 450Kms. Here the safari ends.

Pick-up at the airport/hotel in Entebbe, car, fuel, guide (including accommodation and meals costs for him), accommodations (the range of standards could be modified according to clients’ needs), breakfasts and meals (dinner at lodges and lunch-box during safari), park fees (40$ per person for 24h for every park visited), boat trips, social activities, UWA Gorilla permits (600$ per person) and Chimp permits (150$ per person), Golden Monkey Trail (90$ per person) and all the game drives into the parks.

To complete the booking a first payment of 50% of the total amount is requested. This is due to the need to purchase in advance Gorilla Permits and to reserve all accommodations.

You will travel on a 4×4 vehicle: a Toyota Land Cruiser or a Toyota 4WD Mini Van. These are our own cars and drivers. The cars are well maintained and our drivers are experienced and English speaking Ugandans.

The responsible for your tour and local point of contact will be Julius. Your guide will be confirmed later.

Our guides are professional Safari guide with a wide experience in Clientele Management, Safari guiding and great adventures travels. They own the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (2006) and the certificate in Tour Guiding earned from Uganda Safari Guides Association.

Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours Ltd and Horizon Adventures Srl are not responsible for any losses, damages, injuries or other liabilities that could occur during the travel. We strongly recommend our customers to subscribe a dedicated travel insurance for such purposes. The amount anticipated via wire transfer is not refundable, as this money will be used to ensure Gorilla permits and book accommodations.
